When the idea to excavate a water way thru the Isthmus of Panama to join together the two oceans materialized, it gave way to the social, cultural and geographical development of a country that throughout history has always been a strategic point and an obligatory pass.

A lot of people thought that the construction of the Canal was a hard task to acomplish. Thousands of lifes were lost in the search for this dream, in the search of a route that could shorten the travel to the north.

The dream was realized and today we can count with a Canal that is our greatest national and international pride.
